RESIDENTIAL VASTU - FIVE MOST IMPORTENT POINTS.

1, UNDERGROUND TANK OR TUBE WELL
Under water tank should be dug in North-east direction while before digging a sump draw an axis marking from North-east to South-west while both the sides right or left are apt for underwater tank. North-east is an important place in home which is held scared due to which it should be left vacant as much as possible and that is why underwater tank is recommended here. Avoid any water source or tank towards North-west or South-east.

If bellow 6 points not good preference north east, east, north.

2, OVERHEAD WATER TANK
The overhead water tank should be in the southwest or west corners of the building.   because South is inauspicious corner of house where heavy things can be placed to equate the energies. Over-head tank in this direction balance energies to bring health, prosperity and all-round peace. Avoid over-head tank in North-east as it leads to unnecessary expenses and losses An overhead water tank should not be located in the northeast or southeast corners, or in the middle of the roof. It is also best that it is not located in the northwest . The tank should be elevated at least 1m above the roof, on a platform. If possible, the tank should not be made of plastic. If it must be plastic, however, it should either be black or dark blue plastic, because such colors aid the absorption of sunlight. A dark water tank while absorbing sun for heat doesn't encourage microbial growth as quickly as a light-colored tank would do. If possible, there should be different tanks for the kitchen and bathrooms.

3, KITCHEN VASTU
Kitchen Vastu South-east represents the most auspicious kitchen setting. Alternatively, consider a north-west alignment as your second choice. followed by  East  The kitchen should not be next to or across from a toilet, nor should it be directly in front of the main door. Cooking should be done in the southeast corner or on the east side of the kitchen. It is best to cook while facing east, but facing north is also all right. It is advisable not to put the stove on the northern wall. The stove should not be in front of the kitchen's door. Electrical items such as microwaves, grinders, and mixers should be placed in the southeast corner of the kitchen. The sink should be in the northeast corner. The southwest wall should be used for storage.The refrigerator should be in the northwest, southeast, south, or west. It should not be placed on the northeast side. If it is on the southwest side of the kitchen, be sure to set it away from the wall.
 Do not keep your kitchen the following corners – 
South-West 
Center 
North-East
Still better, if you set up your cooking corner in the east. 
Priority-wise, ensure an eastern or northern kitchen entrance. 
If there is a dining table in the kitchen, it should be placed on the north or west side. The door to the toilet should not face the dining table.Kitchens should be painted yellow, rose, red, orange, or chocolate brown. If possible, do not paint the walls white or black

4, STAIRCASES
It is Best to build staircase on the southwest, or if necessary, on the south or west sides of the house. Do not build stairways on the northeast side, as it will cause loss of wealth. The staircase should go up from east to west or north to south. The same stairway that goes to the upper floor should not also go down to the basement.
Stairways should be built with an odd number of stairs. The number of stairs should not end with a zero if you must build an even number-there should not be 10 or 20 steps-because it is best to begin climbing steps with the right foot and also to end the climb on the right foot. This is not possible when there is an even number of stairs. The right foot is equated with gain, the left with loss.
A staircase must always be built in the western or southern part of the house. Make sure it’s not constructed in the northeast corner, as that could lead to financial losses for the owner. In fact, staircase in any corner except west or south brings losses.
An external staircase can be built in the southeast direction facing east, southwest direction facing west, northwest direction facing north, and southwest direction facing south. 

5, DIRECTIONS OF WATER FLOW
Favourable directions for used water - Downward slope in the North-east direction of East is considered auspicious. Plots having downward slopes in East, North and North-east are considered auspicious and benificial for people.  The levels of open spaces should be higher in South & West side and lower in North & East side. Outlets of rainwater should be in Northeast or North zones.
Downward slope in East gives welth prosperity, name and success to the inmates. While if the opposite then people have to bear problems like dishonour, failure in different spheres of life etc.
Downward slope in North-east is very auspicious and people may acquire unflinching success, wealth and peace of mind. Upward slope in this direction brings loss of wealth, poor health and failures in business. If the plot is downward slope in West occupants have to suffer from persistent illness, mental problem like depression and loss of wealth etc. Upward slope in West yield positive results such as success, good wealth & health and spiritual progress. Downward slope North - west (vayuvya) surely acquires enmity, accidents theft and bad health
Upward slope in South-west (niruti) is considered best and results in wealth, prosperity, promotion, obedient children etc

SIX POINTS
1, Entrance should preferably be from the north or east with more door and window openings in these directions. An underground water-tank or a well should also be situated in the north eastern part of the plot. 
2, The kitchen should preferably be in the south-east or in the north-west as second best. The Toilets should be avoided in the south-west and north-eastern corners of the house. 
3, The levels in the north and east of the plot should be less than those in the south and west. The surrounding levels should be such that the natural rain water flows towards the north or east. 
4, The height of the building in the south and west should be more than that in north and east.The terrace of the first floor should preferably be in the north and east. More open space should be left in the north and east than in south and west. 
5, The plot should be either a square or a rectangle with its south-west angle of a 90 and north-east angle of less than 90.
6, It is said that these principles are applicable not only to individual houses, but also to industry, educational institutions, commercial complexes, theaters, hospitals and temples etc. If colonies villages and cities are planned on these principles, it is said that they will all be very prosperous
Keep it a point the waste of the human must go to west  all the chargin energy we receive from east or north east

CONSIDERATIONS IN DESIGNING A HOME
Doors of each room  facing East. 
Bedrooms should be in South and West 
Placement of mirrors on South and West wall are inauspicious. 
While sleeping head should be in South or West but never in North. 
Pooja room should be in North East. All idols and photographs should be facing East or West. 
Toilet seat should be in North-South only. It should not be in East-West. 
Out houses should not touch the compound wall of North and East side. 
Stairs should always be in clock-wise direction. 
Anything underground should be in North or East. 
Big trees should not be grown in North or East. They should be in South or West side of the house. 
Face East or North while reading or transacting any business deal. 
Face East while cooking, West is allowed if there is no alternative, but never face South while cooking. 
Total number of doors and windows should be in even number for each floor, but should not end in zero like 10, 20, 30. (must see)
The width of the door should be half the height of the door. The door should not be too high, too low, too wide or too narrow. The doors should be rectangular and square doors should always be avoided. 
Ventilation should be looked after and good cross ventilation should be present. 
Never put the poster of crying girl, war scene, sexy scenes, angry man, owl, eagle etc. They are inauspicious. 
Doors should open inside the room and not outside. 
No room should be built under the stairs. 
The cupboard in the wall should be in the Southern or Western part direction of the house. 
The kitchen, grinder, fridge, shelf and other heavy items should be towards South and West wall.

ADVISED TO FOLLOW BELLOW POINTS
While cooking face towards East.
While sleeping keep your head in the south or west direction.
Keep your Money & safe Locker in the South west corner
Round or Oval type Dining table to be avoided as they will lead to quarrel and arguements
Toilet and Bathroom doors to be kept closed always as they affect the earning capacity
Take bath facing East.
Clothes to be washed are to be kept in North west corner.
Bed room should be in the South west.
Always keep your Home and office clean.
Broken Glass to be replaced immediately.
Wall clock should be in working condition.
Fused bulbs should be replaced immediately.
Chadelier (Glass) lamps will bring you Luck.
